Lifehacker has found a solution: Send them an anonymous message with HadToSay.com, a new web application that's free to use, and perfect for us shy types.
First you have to register for a free account, but once you do, you can send that special someone as many messages as you want either by using a masked email address or by printing out a notification card that contains a secret message ID and PIN number.
Once the recipient receives your email or note card, they can login to the site to read your message, and leave a response if they want to.
One thing to keep in mind though is that all messages are public, so if you decide to use this service, make sure you don't post anything too personal.
Anonymous messaging tools have always made me a bit nervous, but maybe the fact that messages are public will keep creeps from using something like this to annoy someone.
